The Dolomieu Trail (6-Huts-Trail) is an educational trail that leads from the Telfer-huts, above Sterzing, to the Furt hut located at the back end of the Pflersch valley. Information boards provide an insight into the geology as well as the flora and fauna. The trail is named after the French geologist Deodat de Dolomieu (1750-1801), who discovered an unknown rock in this area. The light-coloured dolomite rock of the Tribulaun also takes its name from him.
Starting from the Ladurns mountain station, you can follow the educational path in two directions:
Ladurns - Allriss

Towards the end of the valley via the Toffring valley to the Allriss hut, extensive alpine meadows with their colourful biodiversity invite you to linger. Panoramic views of the Weißwandspitze and Tribulaun are included. A highlight along the way are the "Hirschlackn", special places of power. The educational trail ends at the Furt hut at the back end of Pflersch, from where you can descend to St. Anton on foot. Alternatively, you can descend directly from the Allriss hut into the valley.
Ladurns - Rosskopf

Out of the valley towards Sterzing, you pass the alpine village of Vallming and the ‘Kastellacke’ biotope, to the mountain station of the Rosskopf cable car. If you like, you can continue to the Kuh hut and the Ochsen hut high above Telfes.
