From the mountain station, take trail no. 34 (signposted "Ladurner Rundweg") up to just below the Edelweisshütte. Then follow trail 34A, first over flat alpine slopes and then increasingly steeper over a scree slope to the Lotterscharte (2,139m). From here you can see the three alpine huts of Vallming, which are reached on a moderately steep descent.
There are three options for the descent:
a) Via the Dolomieu trail back to the Ladurns mountain station (2 hours)
b) Via path 19A down to Gossensass (1 ½ h)
c) Via path 19A uphill to the Kastellacke biotope and on to the mountain station of the Rosskopf cable car (1h)
